What is Cub Scouting?
There are loads of fun things that you can do as a Cub Scout. You will get a chance to try lots of different activities like swimming, music, exploring, computing and collecting. If you do them properly you will get a badge which you can wear on your uniform.
Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, theme parks or a farm. Sometimes you will be able to go camping with the rest of your Pack. This will mean you sleeping in a tent and doing loads of outdoor activities.

Cub Scout News 2012
Football competition was held on the Sunday 22nd January. Whilst there were fewer packs taking part this year than previous years, this allowed us to run a straight league where all teams played each other, and for 5 minutes a match instead of the usual 3 minutes. This produced scores for most of the matches and added to the excitement of the competition.
Top of the league were:
1st Carleton
With 2nd Cleveleys second followed in 3rd by 1st Thornton.
Congratulations to Carleton.
At the Chess competition, held on 4 February, there was an air of concentration and professionalism from all the Cubs taking part. Their behaviour was impeccable. A couple of parents joined in and had a game of their own. Whilst there was a clear winner the runners-up were closely matched.
Congratulations to Connor Neve of 2nd Cleveleys our winner, and also to 2nd place Mitchell Reddy (2nd Cleveleys), 3rd place Daniel Coppin (1st Carleton).
Superteams is our next competition, held at Hodson School on Moorland Road, Poulton le Fylde on Sat. 24th March. Usual format of 5 Cubs per team, £10 per team. Entry forms attached below.

The Grand Howl
When people think of Cubs they will often think " DYB, DYB, DYB; DOB, DOB, DOB" .
These acronyms haven't been used by scouting since 1967.
They come from the Wolf Cub Grand Howl and stand for "Do Your Best / Do Our Best "
The Grand Howl is stil the traditional way of opening a Cub Scout Meeting
