Times and speeds – this is based on the times that were recorded by your teams on the Sunday walk of the training weekend.  The scores are not particularly relevant, as they are based on the team’s leg time compared to an average time assumed by Andy rather than their own estimated leg time off their route card.  Hopefully it will give you a better idea of walking speed when it comes to completing the route cards for the event.

 

Helper’s Registration Form – this gives details of the helper’s Briefing to be held at Broughton Scout Hut on Tuesday 29th March which you may already know about.  The running of the event will be explained and you will be able to see the route and choose a suitable checkpoint location for the Saturday of the event.  I’ve made a slight change this year, by asking everyone to pay for their food through the online shop as you did for the training weekend.  This will help save Ken running ragged at the Helper’s Briefing trying to make a note of who’s paid for food!  If the event doesn’t appear to be in the shop just yet, give it until Monday as I’m not sure how quickly they can add the details on.  As a last resort you could still pay on the night, but it would certainly be a big help if you could pay online instead.

 

The applications need to go direct to Phil Howarth, but as I am organising our District, I will also need to know by email who is interested in coming please.
